Mill Station Vineyards is located in the Russian River Valley/Green River Valley Appellations. The property is solely composed of Goldridge fine sandy loam, a very much sought after soil type that is associated with ultra premium Pinot Noir production in western Sonoma County. We are a family owned boutique winery producing small hand crafted lots of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and other select varietals and blends.
Our farming philosophy is to treat our vineyards as naturally as possible. Our vineyards border wilderness and wetland areas where wildlife is abundant. Raccoons, weasels, hawks, quail, turkey, deer, snakes and frogs wander the property on a daily basis. We utilize owl breeding boxes (nests) to help us balance the gopher population in the vineyard. The property is also home to a small orchard of pears, plums, figs, Gravenstein and other apple varieties. If you happen to be coming to the Russian River area, please let us know to arrange a private visit for wine tasting or lunch.
